I have a Merc 2005 200 EFI on a Classic. I have been getting a solid alarm when trying to get the boat on plane.As soon as I go back to idle the alarm stopsIf I let it idle I for 10 – 15 sec and try it again it, it will get on plane with no alarm The alarm only happens once in awhile.Any suggestions?

We would have a technician hook up the DDT and read the codes on the engine.

Is it the overheat alarm?? If so your pop it valve may be stuck which would explain why it goes off sometimes and not all the time – a technician could tell you

Solid alarm is overheat..When was the last time you replaced the water pump impeller? Id start there…
