Can anyone point out the differences in an 08 and 09 Cougar? What kind of numbers could i expect with a Merc 250 ProXS?Thanks in advance.

They are on a slightly different hull. from 09 to current they are on the same hull.A popular package with the Pro XS engine, and runs great. You will not be disappointed.

Mid to high 70s should be no problem.

We try to say from lower 70s to upper 70s depending on the rigs, weights and differences in set up or driver ability. BCB Admin.

Fastest Ive seen from my 08 Cougar FTD with 250XS is 77.7mph with just a driver. I think it has a bit more in it with addl tweaking but thats plenty fast for me.Advantages are taken, not handed out…

I owned a 08 Cougar FTD with a MERC 250 pro xs. It ran 76 to 80 all day, any day with two people and loaded. I would not be afraid to purchase. You will love the ride and the speed.The hulls are a little different. You cant see this unless someone in the know points it out.Glynn

I say that if your not at a real high elevation low 80s is the norm with a good settup and some cool weather . Ive got an 08 with a 225 ho and have ran it 77 mph a few times and 74 any day with 2 ppl and a tx load .Great riding and handling hull though , I love my Cougar !!!!!!!!!!
