Onboard Charger

The light to my #3 battery is blinking red/green. My batteries are not holding a charge. Is the battery bad or the charger messed up?

Put the leads on another battery and see what happens. If it still blinks, it is the charger. You may need to boost the battery with a hand carry charger. The on board will not bring up a totally dead or flawed battery. BCB

OK. Put two brand new batteries in the boat today and hooked the extension cord up to the charger. Now my number two light is blinking red/green. Any idea as to what is going on?

Charge no. 2 battery with extra charger and see if blinking stops. If battery too low charger will not recognize the battery needs charging!!BAYOU BANDIT

Sam has the answe there. It is a default on the charger to prevent a problem. You can often swap leads also, though a manual charger will usually get the job done. BCB
