Have a question regarding of accuracy of the Tach. Was out running last Saturday and found I was running at 68-69 MPH on my 07 225 HO.Looked at tach to see what I was turning and was looking at 6,000RPM. (running a 26 Trophy Plus, Great holeshot)Is there an alarm for this, if I go over a certain point? Is there a Rev limiter?I would like some answers as I dont want to blow a motor. Should or can this boat do more? (MPH) not disappointedSecond question: I have some courtesy lights around my boat 07 Puma. How do I turn them on??I know about the rails by the consoles how they turn on but havent found out how to turn these on if needed.Thanking you guys in advance as I know how wonderfully helpful this Bass Cat family is.

I am running an 08 Puma with 225 HO and my best top speed so far was 76 mph with a 26 Fury at 6000 rpm. Yes you do have a rev limiter and I think it is around 6100 rpms (someone will correct me if I am wrong on this but this is where my hits it). I have a 27 Fury but have not had the chance to run it WOT yet. Getting more out of your boat would depend on many factors. Amount of load, fuel, people, motor height, air temp, water conditions, driving skills, etc…The courtesy lights are turned on by simply pressing them up or down. The actual lens pivots. The main power switch must be on also.If you run across any other questions, holler. Someone will always be around to help.

The tach is probably accurate and it sound like the engine might be up about 1/2″ too high for performance.
