Topic: Really Scared on Falcon Now!

I heard all these reports about pirates (animal druggies) on Falcon but I went down there yesterday thinking I could outrun those Mexican netter boats in my Cat. But guess what, one of the boats theyre using is a red BassCat! I hope its a Phelix or else were all doomed.I wonder how they got a hold of a BassCat? Joking aside (not joking that one of them appears to have been in a BC), it hit me on Saturday that it was like being afraid to go somewhere becuase there was a crime or 2 in a town or city. The lake is huge and the chance of having a problem is tiny, especially if youre careful.

If you go fish there, get the numbers of the local game wardens and sheriffs on your cell phone. And then stock up on some powered lead weights before you go a-fishing. Just be sure you have that certain Texas license before you go toting that special fishing rod.Your Signature …

Just got back from Falcon fishing, had a great trip. I dont think anything is happening down there that has not always happened in Mexico. It is just getting alot more media coverage now with all the politics involved. I fish Amistad and Falcon several times a year on the Texas side and have never had a reason to fish in Mexico. The fishing is just too good to take my boat into a country that does not inforce its laws. (if they have any). I have fished all over and have yet to find any lakes that come close in comparing to thoes two fisheries. I just hope the negative media does not kill the small business in Zapata, and Del Rio, they are truly amazing places to fish.

Sounds like a blast to me. When we going??My boss has a permit to carry a judge. Puts it in the glove box of his boat.First few rounds are special 410 (3 disks and a dozen pellets) when they duck for cover, the Colt 45 long is good follow up (the judge will chamber both rounds).We had a major problem last year a week after Kevin won the River Rumble.A lot of people came in to fish the river and so did the pirates. The pirates were in hunting mode.We never worried about violence when I was a kid. Fishing was fun. Times have changed and not for the good.I pray for this country. May The Lord have mercy on us.
