Topic: adding storage on back deck possible?

Asking here because Im hoping BCB will be able to help.Im about to get a 2000 Pantera Classic. I have a 14 year old son that Im planning on spending lots of time on the water with. Ive been studying this boat and looking at the old brochures from BassCat. I have only one issue right now. No dry storage on the back of the boat. Is it possible to get some storage compartments added? Can the factory or another place do this?This boat is being gifted to me, or to be honest I wouldnt have gotten it. The lack of storage would have been a deal breaker if I was buying it.

You cannot add storage on back deck as that is the way it is designed. Doing so would likely compromise the structure. Sell it and get what you want if it dont like it. Those older bass cats will bring top dollar.

He doesnt understand because he has always been the front of the boat guy.

Not sure about the 2000 year model, but our 1997 Classic it can not be done. A good option is to put in a flipping deck use a storage box or two under it. It works really well for us. We keep a large waterproof Ziploc box under ours for extra clothes. I have the flipping deck and will have to use it that way. I was pretty sure it couldnt be done, but cant hurt to ask.

Pre 2004 models do not have rear deck storage. Getting enough flotation in the old systems was hard and the glass grillage gives more flexibility. The foam chambers will be compromised, though if you want a do it yourself project be done. Rear chambers dropped in beginning in 2004, 2005, and 2007 model years. BCB
