BCB, Differences between 94 P2 and 97 P2?

Im not sure about the differences in the hulls but you are right about the recessed trolling motor tray. I think those came out in 95. Also, I believe the bolt on the side on the 95s and up were molded into the fiberglass.Jason Ferbrache – Edmond, OK 1995 Basscat Eyra

On the P2 the recess came out in 95, 94 (1993) on the Eyra.

The 97 P2s definitely did have Perko latches, but they may have technically been optional, although I never saw one from the late 90s that didnt have the Perkos. They may have been options like the Silhouette Package was at the time – where it was technically optional but just about every one had them. Did you ask the seller if he ever replaced them for some reason? The BP101 Superdash has an alarm that, once armed, will go off when the rod boxes are opened — hard to believe that would be there but not the lockable lids, but who knows. If the dash says “Super Dash” then its definitely 97 or newer. The original BP100 dash just had an Omega 2 logo on it, and Im pretty sure 1996 was the last year for those. BP 100 dashes came out in 1993, except for three prototype units. The BP 101 was in the Jaguar in 1996 and other models afterwards. The BP 100 dash continued in the option for Pantera Classic and some Sabre models after 1996. Latches we really never documented those changes and offering on as they are easiy identified. Which is which by style. Perko D ring models replaced Sarasota twist style, which was followed by the black T handle Perko. There were two sizes of Perko D rings and BCB always used the larger ring.
