Topic: Aurora Cover question

What is recommended to re waterproof their covers???? After several days of rain I found that the cover that I have leaks like a sieve almost to the point where not having the cover would have made little difference. There is no damage to the cover and other than needing a good cleaning its fine and considering that its 9 years old and the cover that came with the boat I am impressed with the quality.

you can go to the Aurora canvas web site and they have the info you need. You could also e-mail them and get an answer on mon. I have never had to redo my covers, so not sure which one would be best. pant 2 Bob

I did the same with my canvass cover made by Aurora. They recommended a good cleaning and covering with certain types of water repellent. I used the Formula 303 replant and also ordered their cleaner. It seems to have worked very well. I sold that Triton to my son and the cover is still working beautifully. Be aware, if it is a canvass cover, to spray in several light coats to allow for drying between coats and better penetration.

I did an advanced search for “aurora 303”. I recalled seeing this before as my cover needs cleaned and treated. This is a responce from Aurora. Tim ——————————————————————————————————— We sell a product from 3M called 303 fabric guard. You can access our Ebay store through our web site. http://www.auroracanvas.com You just wash the cover with a little bit of Simple Green, let that dry. Then, spray the cover with the 303 Fabric Guard. One bottle will treat the cover one time. Thanks Brian Rush, Aurora Canvas
