Gas Evaporation

Ok, The Antique Kitten has basically sat since last June when she bounced off a guard rail so a little evaproation is not a big surprise to me, but the day before the wreck I had filled both tanks completely full. That day the guy I was fishing with and I ddnt have any real problem finding fish so we put less than a couple miles total on the big motor, and of course out of one tank. When I was going through her today and checking everything out I noticed that both tanks are down to only about 1/4 full. Should those tanks have evaporated 3/4s of a tank each just sitting there for the last 8 months? Seems like an awful lot of gas to go out through the vents to me. I think your gas evaporated out with the help of an Arkansas credit card…

I had to let my 95 PII sit for a year once because of a neck injury. The tanks were 3/4 full at the time. When I checked them a year later they were still about the same level. I drained both tanks as I was unsure of the gas and any water that may have separated. I dont think you lost your fuel to evaporation in 8 months. LOZman

I can not do anything about it now because the boat spent time in three different shops before it actually got fixed, but I know my registration decals were removed at one of them and they didnt do any work in the area of the decals. Thats also the shop that went out of business instead of fixing my boat. Oh, well. Atleast I will ge taking her out on the water today. Ill top off one tank and add some Mercury full additive first of course. No , definately an Arizona CC, and the manuel speed wrench would probably be more correct. BUT, i wouldnt say too much about whoever took it and expended all that effort, you havent even changed youre avatar yet ! And that takes no effort at all ! Youre Cat is hardly an antique Bob, but with all shes been through, well, well let her qualify ! D.
