I believe that I have read on this forum at some time back BCB actually mounted the winch stand a little crooked on purpose. Well the roller stand on my trailer is crooked as it can be. It was lined up and welded this way from the factory. I have damaged the gell coat on my boat because the rubber roller did not roll. It tore the rubber and split. I replaced it twice. I just purchased the new yellow roller from BCB and had a real tough time getting the bolt thru the roller because of line up problems. Is mine the only one that BCB made this way or are all of them like this?
The rollers are not mounted crooked, only the winch itself. The roller arms can get bent from hard impacts. They are 3/8″ cold roll, though they still bend them. BCB
Yep, I already took care of it. I was surprised that you could bend it with the boat. I never thought that I could have hit it hard enought to bend it.
Take a good look at the winch spool and you will notice one side is round and the other is not. This feeds then strap without it climbing on the straight side.
