Hi all. Im looking for advice on gelcoat repair. The area pictured is from the trolling motor cable wearing at the hull. The finish is scuffed and there are some very light cuts/dents. Will the gelcoat need to be filled here or can I lightly wetsand and buff. Can I use 3m perfect it II on gelcoat? The boat is a 2008 BassCat SabreThank you for any suggestions.
I had same color gel on my first BassCat 2008 Sabre (Starlight Blue) with similar abrasion scuffs and used Turtle Wax with rubbing compound (Green Bottle) and buffed it out myself. Took several buffing jobs but it come out to a glossy looking like new finish.
