I have a friend with a 2002 Classic and a 150 XR6 merc on it. The performance is very satisfactory. It runs as well or better than most 18 footers with a 150 on it. The problem will come in when you want to sell it. Most folks just dont want a 150 on a 19 foot boat. They want a 200 h.p. The cost upgrade for the amount of extra performance you will get with the 200 is minimal. Worth every penny in my book. But, if you wanted to know if the boat will perform well with a 150 then the answer is yes. Top end for him is in the 62-63 mph range loaded with 2 people and tournament gear and It runs in the 65-66 range on a good day with only one person and gear.
