Dont forget about the fender where you step. Never have understood why the step pad dont come to the edge like the one in the center of the fender. At the present time Im keeping a Terrycloth towel in the splash well. But have bought the 3m rock guard to put there. I put two layers of black gorilla tape in a approx 2″ x 3″ rectangle on the spot where the rigging hose rubs when the motor is in trailering position. Kind of a rube goldberg fix and one I wouldnt think should be necessary but it is what it is, I guess.
