So I have to ask – how do you have a low speed accident that necessitates someone going to the hospital? How do you have a low speed accident at all – I dont mean rubbing rails waiting to take off?And, while Im at it, do these folks realize that every accident is the operators fault? I get it you could have some Black Swan deal happen, but if you run two boats into each other there isnt any justification.

Another accident at an FLW event. There were like 240 boats in it.

We’ve had extremely large fields of over 300 Boats years ago in early season opening Redman events. Boats are not the issue, carelessness and drivers are the issue. BCB

Bass Cat Boats nailed it if you cant even drive a vehicle don’t go buy a 70+ mph boat and think you can drive it. People just don’t pay attention and doesn’t know or understand the rules while on the water.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

BCB Agree…I have fished Smith Lake in Alabama in August, at night, with as many as 600 boats in the tournament. Of course, we blasted off in groups of 100 or so, with check in times varying accordingly. This was back in the late 80s and early 90s. After that one, they started limiting the number of boats. But to my knowledge, there was never an accident. IMO, there are a LOT of people out on the water now who have no business being there in big tournaments, nor should they be driving boats that perform beyond their abilities. A high performance bass boat with a 200 + HP motor is not a toy, and it sure as hell doesnt have brakes.
