After last night meeting of the SRA (louisiana Sabine River Authority) the sale of water from Toledo Bend to Dallas via a pipeline is dead for the time being. I would like to thank all of the people involved in contacting the Governor of Louisiana and other State official to make this go away. If we can just get them to regulate the gates at the dam maybe we will have enough water in the lake to have a good spawn.

I live in Dallas, and Im extremely glad the money didnt win out. T Bend needs the water. Lake Fork needs the water, etc, etc. People in this area are just going to have to adjust to the water thats currently available.Its been an awfully rough year for Texas rain wise, but the lake communities around here have suffered enough. Drop the levels much more, and restaurants, marinas, bait shops, etc. will close up faster than they are now. My St Augustine will just have to wilt.

I just asked about this in another post before I saw this one.Glad to hear they didnt go for that.The water wars we have here with Lanier would be a good example for them not to do that.
