I have an 05 Puma with a 225 e-tec and have noticed the rpms at time according to the tach dont seem to be right. For example generally the tach show 5000 at 50 mph with the trim set a hair above the middle (on the gauge). Yesterday at that speed the tach was showing between 5500 and 6000 for most of the day. Then on the way home seemed to be reading properly at 5200 or so at 60 mph. I have a 27 inch tempest on it and seems to run well. I as thinking bout going to a 26 but need to get this tach fixed before i can get a good reading. New to the bass boat game. Not sure if its the gauge thats bad couldnt find anything loose..
