This is the weather I used to enjoy ! Pulling people outta ditches, giving rides, rescuing damsels in distress,,,,,, FISHING ! Yep, we used to fish in this crap, and it could be incredible, but two things have changed, one is I got older and wiser, two,,,, I quit drinking ! Now all I wanna do is keep the power on so I can watch Velocity, especially Mecum auction ! Drink my diet dew, eat my apples, and hold out for hope of improving weather. Worked all yesterday hauling generators for home, mothers, farm, etc,,,,can hardly move today,,,,,,,there is no way to age gracefully, Im fighting this crap daily, cant win but Im given it hell ! Yall stay safe, this could get ugly.

I hope yall make it through this with little to no damage. I have been in some Ice storms that created more damage than a dang hurricane. That Ice builds up on trees, power lines, roof tops and the weight just overcomes those things. I have been watching and it looks like a pretty bad early winter storm. Ill be praying for you guys. Stay warm my friend!! This is shaping up to be a severe winter. Weve already had 4 nights in the 20s way down here and we didnt have any last year. White County, IL here. We had ice at first, trees are coated, but shouldnt cause too much damage. Snow is around 6″ and still coming down hard. With the ice underneath it is a mess. I am just around the house today, on the puter, keeping warm, and keeping feed and water to the chickens!Dan

Well for some reason I choose the Electric Utility industry as a career choice. It seems like a great choice until this happens. Then its time to play with whatever mother nature can throw at you. The worse part is seeing and dealing with how bad humans can act towards others that are working to give them a convience.

Here in central Arkansas, Its been sleeting for 15 hours. No snow yet. Everything is white but its just little balls of ice. Trees and powerlines have lots of ice built up on them. I still have power so far thank God.

We got just a little ice accumulation but so far the bad stuff is north of me. My tournament got cancelled tomorrow but my wife is still gonna run the half marathon in Memphis tomorrow in this mess!

Yes tshenson I get to see exactly what you are talking about. Cotton I am in Memphis with the power company and its going to be a long night. There are a few trees down all over town. Be safe.
