I agree with Foghorn Leghorn about the Smith and Wesson being standard equipment in the South; however, the standard alarm from Bass Cat is much less messy when used. The Bass Cat alarm will hopefully prevent someone from stealing your valuables after they pop the lock on your storage compartment. The Smith and Wesson does not become effective until you actually hear the lock break open and the thief already has your stuff, which is really the way it should be because you do not wish to utilize the Smith and Wesson until the thief is at least several yards from your boat because of all the clean up work necessary if the Smith and Wesson is brought into play too early. Of course, I guess you could just show the thief that you have the Smith and Wesson in hopes that he/she will drop your stuff and run, or I guess you could just fire a warning shot into the air in hopes that the thief will drop your stuff. Nah, just wait for the thief to get several yards from the boat. Corky
