Bought my PIV used and didnt care for the Cooks tackle system being installed in the driver side rod lockers, didnt want to have to move my rods to get into my baits. Tried running the system along the supports (vertically) on the lid and didnt work out to well for me. Decided I would share how I rigged mine to work for additional storage. Took 30 minutes and didnt cost much.Fabbed a quick piece of 1″ aluminum with a 7/8″ bump in the center, bent using a vice and a hammer. Counter sunk the aluminum for the pop-rivets, this allows cooks system to install flat to aluminum bar. Fastened the cooks system to the aluminum, and ran an extra screw through the aluminum into the stiffener portion of the lid. Worked out pretty slick. Presume this would also work for a Puma. Since everyone here has been so helpful thought I might help someone else out.
