water in rod locker

i have an 09 sabre ftd and am having some trouble getting rain water in the passenger rod locker. anyone else having this problem? i cant figure out where it is coming from but am sure it is rain water only. any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like the large nut on the back of the latch is loose, try tightening, hope that helps ya!!

I found that the screws that hold the struts on the boat side, if loose, will leak a river into the compartments.Check them as well. there were gasketed washers on mine.

I had a duhh moment when after i left my plug in for an extended time and the water in the bilge actually evaporated and worked its way into my compartments. A real mess, condensation on the lids and mold on rods. I wont ever put her in the barn again with the plug in. good luck, Bruce

That is a source of condensation in the boat many overlook. Nice catch! Can be an Ugly mess but you made a good call.BCB
