Fuel gauges quit working on dash

have 99 p111 and fuel gauges on bp101 quit working one at a time they read right on tank but not on dash? any help?also would like to mount lights in rod locker on right can i put screws into the right side of locker or will it go into hull?will it void my hull warranty to put a 10 in hydraulic jack plate on p111 talked to marina and they said that is the only way i am going to get any hole shot or performance out of my p111 with merc efi? Hate that motor! sorry lots of questions. LOVE MY CAT. HATE THE MERC ON IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Dont think you want to put the screws where your talking about , why not mount them on the underside of the topcap under the lid lip ? also Im pretty sure if you go to a 10 ” plate that it will void warranty , have you tried different props and jack plate settings to help the hole shot ??..Sorry cant help with the gauges….

Before you spend the money on the jack plate see if you dont get suggestions here. If you do not get any help (would be hard to belive) contact BCB direct.

Think I would find a new Marina to talk to. If your cat needed a 10 inch plate, I would think BCB would have figured that out by now.I am leaning more toward your prop selection and plate set up. I tried a 10 inch plate on mine, and luckily I was able to sell it at not too much of a loss, and went back to the original 6 inch CMC. Get with BCB and I bet they have you running right in no-time flat.Good Luck;Jim

You need to get some help from the factory and not the dealer you have been using. A 10″ plate is not the answer! And that little 2.5 Merc is a fine product, though a little light on the bottom end. Seek more information from someone who knows more than your local mechanic shop. They sound ready to take your money, and you will be left without either performance you desire or the cash you spent.

It was a bass cat dealer, not mentioning names.I have run a 23 tempest, 25 high five, trophy, raker, cannot seem to find the right combo with plate set-up but boat dealer told me that the 10in would give me more holeshot because the motor would be in cleaner water. I am thinking about trying a fury but cant find anyone to let me try one. I am going to be in this boat for a while due to finances so I am going to keep trying things till I get it right. Would it help to relocate the oil resivour and put my 4th battery up furthor.How abut the fuel gauges? (bcb)I wish I could find a optimax 3 liter and not have any of these probl. I am wondering how these guys are getting anywhere near 70, if i take everything out of the boat and leave one battery and a quarter of one tank of gas I can hit 68 so I dont knowI have been reading where guys are reprograming comp and machining flywheel is this an option?

I am sorry.Thanks RickWho should I call at the shop?Your parts dept is great and have been nothing but helpful since I purchased the boat in 01.
