Question on tow vehicle splash guard

I finally purchased the truck I was looking for this past week and I have seen some talk about this type of hitch like mudflap. Does anyone use it and if so what brand and is it effective? I want to minimize road rash on the boat when hauling this summer..Thanks Should look good hauling this baby…as compared to the last vehicle a White Expedition…..

I have a Towtector like the one in the picture on my F150 and it seems to work well protecting my Puma. I shopped around on the internet and got it for what looked like a better price than the average about a year ago. Larry Brumley

I used Rock Tamers on my Cummins. I liked the looks better than the hairy looking tow tector thing. When I bought my 2011 F250, it came with a 2.5″ receiver so I cannot use the Rock Tamers as it will not slide on the new receiver. It sits in the garage now. I have had people that want to buy it but all out of state and shipping costs to much. Anyways, it was a good setup.

I have the Rock Tamers, the Towtectors offer a more complete center coverage but are twice the cost.

I have used a Towtector for the last several years and it has done a great job.. Only problem now is I have to figure out how to make it work on my new 2011 HD Dmax as the exhaust runs too straight out the back of the truck and it wants to melt it.. Steve mine also has a 2.5″ receiver but came with a reducer sleeve for using the standard 2″ hitch …. Sherm

Ill dispose of that Towtector properly for you Sherm. I remember how good a job it did keeping the junk off my boat when you drug it through the salty roads.

Decided upon and ordered the Towtector Aluminum…thanks for all the input….Tideman my 08 Cougar looks sweet behind it just picked it up from storage today….only problem now is that the truck and boat only just fit in the garage hooked up…..I like to be ready to roll in the early a.m. when I take off fishing…..but the plus side is that they do fit………Have some customizing to do to the truck but it is a sweet ride…need to wake up those Turbos and few other additions but she hauls nice too….
