Topic: BassCat Puma FTD Storage Box? Is the 1/4in plywood in the bottom of the box from the factory like that?

I have them in the bottom of the boxes and dont know if thats from the factory or someone put them in there? They look glass in but i am not sure? Thought I would ask?

There is no wood or plywood anywhere in your boat. You must have gotten an add on from a previous buyer.

OK, I looked at it again, they are in the center storage compartment of the FTD deck right above the small step storage boxes with a rubber mat laying on them. It is smooth on top and appears to be wood or some kind of product that looks like 1/4in wood attached to the bottom of the storage compartment, one on each side of the middle support within the box. It appears to be glassed into the bottom of the compartment? I was asked and I cant tell what it is? I do know none of my other boats have had the same product inside of the center storage box that I can remember. Can you clear this mystery up please?

Those compartments are really deep. Perhaps the previous owner put that in there to raise the bottom? How deep are you compartments?

May have had some major hull repair and a fiberglass company went through there to repair the hull. Just guessing.

So I caved and called the previous owner, he cut out two boards and placed tehm in there to level the bottom for plano boxes. I didnt pull up on them hard enough to get them out, he cut a temp plate out of cardboard and has them snug in there. Sorry for all the bother but I was asked about them and didnt know what to say. At least it is nothing to be concerned about. A good idea for what they do. So on to the next mystery. Thanks for the help.
