Launched around 7 am this morning on Logan Martin. It was 26 degrees. After fishing till around 11:00 am, I dropped my partner off at the boat dock and tore off to make some runs. I ran up river and hit my all time best of 73.4, since I installed the 25P Fury. This was the first time I have hit the 73 mark. Stopped and talked to a buddy for a while and watched the poe poe blast by. Not quite sure what he was doing out there as there were only about 4 people dump enough to be out in the cold on the entire lake. After chatting a bit, I took off to try and beat the last post. After running under stemley bridge I blew by the poe poe doing about 71. He was set up over to the side sitting still, I guess he was having a coffee break. Neadless to say, He did not give chase, lol. I came into some lightly rippled water and I noticed I was tipping 73.8, so I trimmed it up a touch more. What a rush! Slamming the door on 74.0 for about 15 seconds @ 5800 rpm in 38 degree water with half a tank of fuel. Will my quest for better numbers ever end? I think there is some more in her.Tom and Chester, Let me know when you guys plan to hook up on the river. I want to meet yall out and have you take a look at my set up and maybe take a couple of runs to make sure everything is right before I go raising the motor some more.Oh, yeah! I didnt catch anything, but I was the first one back at the boat launch! Your Signature …
Great numbers!! She has got more, mine hit 74.4 with a 25 Fury in the limiter at 5750 rpms, and 75.3 with a 26 Tempest still in the limiter. Put a 26 Fury on that baby and hold that hot foot down. Man these P IIs are awesome!!!!!
Oh baby, cant wait for my 26P Fury on my Classic. How was the handling at pace? Has your face/hands thawed out yet? We are looking at 12 below tonight, reading posts like this warms me up…
Let me know what your classic does w/26 Fury. What are you running now and how is it doing?
Awesome Joe! You are getting closer. Cant wait to get up with you guys. I am trying to get a 26P Fury from Flyswatters brother to run on the P2. Somebody is going break 76 in a P2 soon.
Man, you guys are awesome. 200 HP Powerplants on 19 Cats equals “Ceeeeee YAAAA” to many non basscat boats with 225 and 250s. I know for a fact that 74-75 plus is challenging at best for some of these 20 footers. I agree with Chet, One of you all is gonna break 76 and no, RP, you dont count. When it happens lets all tip our cap to that achievement regardless of the motor. Heck, it being done in a BassCat is what its all about. I really like the vibe and spirit of this thread. Like SenkoJoe said this is exhilarating benefit in addition to the great fishing design from BassCat. Congrats to you all and keep chasing the rabbit.Joe, Your numbers are awesome. Keep after it. If gets loose back off and restart before you know that chine walk will be an after thought.Last edited by Flyswatter on January 24th, 2011, 2:14 am, edited 1 time in total.

I should have brought mine and left it for you to try. I think it would make yours break 76 since you can turn more rpm than I can. If I can get my hands on a 27 tempest Ill break it or possibly another 26 Fury would do the job.
Thanks Tom, but youre the one that deserves the congrat. Youre doing in a 20 footer with a 200 what were in 19.I hate we didnt get together at the show, but dont think Im gonna forget about that coke you owe me. Last edited by gchagler on January 24th, 2011, 2:45 am, edited 1 time in total.

Hunting season is over on Jan. 31 and I will be out there chasing it.
