Motor Guide battery charger

I have a 2002 PIII and was wondering if the motor guide battery charger that came with the boat completely quits charging when the batteries are fully charged. I read some where that the AGM batteries dont like a constant trickle and it will shorten the life of the batteries.

Check the model # on the charger. I belive those were recalled years ago. My 2003 cougar had one and it started on fire. Needless to say BCB made it good. Pro-Tec Productswww.protecproducts.com

Those were recalled by MotorGuide. They had a return replacement or credit policy. We doubt its in Place now though its worth a shot. Replace it soon no matter.
