Topic: How big should my ball be? No snickering now

Have a 2010 PIV with dual wheels. Ive been using a 2 inch ball. Is that ok?

I believe most trailers are 2″ now days. I dont know of any bigger, so if your trailer fits on a 2″ ball it should be fine. A wee tad bit late on that question kramr? Yes no snickering and a 2″ ball is right. It should be stamped in most every coupler you use.

I looked at the coupler and couldnt find it. The only reason I was asking is because it seems just a tad loose. Is there a way to tighten it? Thanks for the responses.

We dont think there is a way to tension the ball play. We would check the brakes for fluid if your getting clunking and play. There are three primary things that allow this, low (no) fluid, hitch play in the pin, and a worn shock.
