Help Please (Got it done)

I disconnected batteries for the winter and I want to make sure I am reconnecting correctly.24 Volt trolling motor setup.There should be a wire going from the negative post of one battery to the positive post of the other, correct?I also have 3 bank battery charger.Each leg of the charger should have its own positive/negative and each one should be run to the positive/negative of each battery?Lastly, I am putting a battery disconnect switch in between the starting battery.Should I connect just the Positive wire to one side of the switch and all the components on the other (engine, fishfinders, accessories) on the other? Always liked that Red/White/Blue cowling and always will. You two are not even close to your 300 hundred hour service. Get those boats smelly. Those 150HO Etecs are one of the strongest motors in that HP class ever! Wayne, you werent dialed in on motor height at the OI last year and we hitting 64/65 with us two big boys and every box full to the brim with tackle. Not bad for 150HP motor setup. I have never seen anyone come close to the store you carry in that SabreFTD. I forgot what isle you were in when you went looking in your front storage boxes for that clown colored jerkbait I was fishing. Ron, I can hear the ping of the bat behind my house. I know you are enjoying every bit of it too in your neck of the woods.

Future Tip: Get yourself some stickers and mark your cables so this doesnt happen again. I have color coded stickers on each cable and then a sticker on the corresponding battery to make it easier.http://www.vrbo.com/297770

Randy, Now you tell me.Finished everything up and I am water ready as far as I can tell. I even updated my 797s to the new software. Installed my battery disconnect switch. Fly, I finished about 15 minutes before I had to take my daughter to the field for practice. Nothing like a two hour practice in 40 degreee weather with high winds.Wouldnt change a thing.Last edited by dblplasabre on April 18th, 2011, 1:58 am, edited 1 time in total.
