Any idea what the boat show deals will be this year? When is the boat show special information normally released?
They normally release around Christmas time.
If you or anybody else is looking for a “deal”, look no farther than the for sale page. Low hour boats, tons of warranty, very high end equipment and better prices than youll get at a dealer!!
I am interested in the boat show deals as well, if there are any. Id love to be able to buy a boat from the boat for sale page, but they usually wont take a trade in.

Then put yours up for sale. Its really not that hard. Ive sold three on here with no problem. List it … you never know.
Several things factor into the new boat equation. First is warranty, second is financing, third is trade-in ease, fourth is time (ease), fifth is sales tax credits, sixth is your equipment desired, seventh is new (just yours), eighth is everything can be financed that one time, ninth is dealership relations and tenth is you get everything the way you want it instead of later using pocket cash upgrading poles, graphs and other items. Used newer (09 to 13) boat buyers/owners are often just used boat people. They buy used fairly new cars, demo trucks, mid age houses and they buy used boats. They often are either cash rich or cash comfortable, and their fishing gear will be a collage. They run one boat two to five years and find another to replace it just before or just after warranty lapses. We seldom see new boat owners going used, and seldom see used boat buyers going new. It seems after over 40 years of todays style, the wants of a bass boat and changing markets, they have evolved to who they are and crossing over is seldom done. If you drive a new truck you bought, odds are your next one will be new also. Demo deals and one time nearly new ownerships just dont entice new boat customers. That segment buys either after shopping for exactly the right rig at their desired price tag, or just before their moon phase clock that says its time to go. Odds are they have a used shopping list ready to pull the trigger when the time comes. Of course Quest applying to a used BCB factors highly on many used Bass Cat purchases. It earns all of you value!
Interesting market analysis. I am one of those used buyers you speak of. Never have bought a new vehicle or boat of any sort. Heck I even bought a used 1yr old snow blower this year. That said, it is still a dream of mine to order a brand new boat one day, set up just how I want it.

To me the, trade in route is the way to go. Not easy to sell a boat now at all. Ive had absolutely zero luck in selling any boat I have had. I have always priced them low to get them sold, so I can buy new or buy a light used boat, but it has never worked out. Ive never had one person actually come to look at a boat I had for sale, nor has anyone ever called or emailed me. The only inquiries I have received are from outfits wanting to sell my boat for me. So…trading is the way for me for sure. I am anxious to see what kind of boat show offers BCB may have in store.Last edited by billius on November 19th, 2013, 6:50 pm, edited 1 time in total.
