Prop Suggestions??

I have 2006 Bass Cat Sabre with a Mercury 150. When I bought the boat it had and still has a 24P Furry prop. I have since added a pair of Minn Kota Talons. Once my livewell has a descent amount of water in it the boat takes forever to plain out. When I first got the boat, the guys at Bass Cat told me I needed a 23P Tempest. But I dont know if that is enough now with the Talons or not. Can anyone help me with their setup so I dont spend a bunch of money on props?Thanks in advance.

A 23 Fury will help with the holeshot, but not sure if you will be above the rev limiter with a 23. How many revs do you get wide open with the 24?

SMBASS, I already read through all that information. But I couldnt find anything that had the added Talons.

you have the opti or efi? they dont make a 23p fury and the 24 is like turning a 25 tempest so the 23 would be like dropping down 2. I also run the same boat ,motor, and wheel and it carries a load very well with a instant hole shot. the sticks cant weigh that much and going with a 22 it would be low to mid 50s on top. the 23p tempest should still run 60 with the handling your looking for. beyond this Im listening. I have a 2009 Sabre with a 150 optimax. Running a 23 pitch Tempest Plus. Two men, tackle, full tanks, still jumps out of the hole and runs 60. Handles well. No poles though.

2007 Sabre FTD with a 150 Optimax. 23 pitch Tempest Plus. 6″ SM jackplate set 1/4″ above flush. Two anglers, tackle, 1/2 to 3/4 full tanks, jumps out of the hole and runs 63. Corners and cruises exceptionally well. No Talons. Overall, the 23 Tempest Plus is your best bet IMO.

May want to do a search for a Bravo XS and see if that will help. I know it helped my 2012 Eyra fully loaded with two people 3/4 tank fuel, full livewell, 4 batteries and two powerpoles.

We think there may be some work necessary with some propeller changes that have happened in recent years.
