Topic: What is everyone running off their cranking battery?

Finally had my cranking battery give out after 4+ years…that will teach me to let it sit for 5 weeks. From what I remember and from what I have been able to find on threads the battery of choice is a Sears Platinum 31 Series. Is that still the recommended choice for cranking? Also, what is everyone running off of their cranking battery? I think I have read that most are running their graphs off of the cranking battery. I am running mine off of my trolling motor batteries as it was set up that way when I picked it up from the dealer. Thanks in advance, Tony D2017 Eyra / 250 Merc Pro XS

sears platinum 31, 225 proxs ,2 – 998hb , hydrowave , hyd jackplate , all pumps. no problems .

Sears Platinum: 200SHO, Hds 10, structure scan, Hds 8, another structure scan. HBird 788, all pumps, power pole. no problems.

texlacat,You can also look into the tractor batteries BCB mentioned if your trying to save a few coins.

get the platinum and be done with it. the save a few coins = you can pay me now or pay me later

Sold on the Sears Platinum. Thanks for all of the replies. Not concerned about saving a few dollars if this one will last. Now I need to add a power pole and see how much of a load I can put on it. Also need to convince the wife that there is a need to run the boat every week instead of them honeydos!2017 Eyra / 250 Merc Pro XS
