This was my first time being a Marshal at an elite event. As I recently purchased a “new to me” 95 Pantera II, I tried to scope out the pros riding in a Basscat. As luck would have it, I ended up riding with Marty Stone on Friday. Marty is absolutely the most professional, kindest, most accommodating professional angler I meet all weekend. He was testifying as to why Basscat products were so superior throughout the day. As Im already a new owner, I needed no convincing. Anyway, I hope Basscat knows what lengths Marty goes through to earnestly represent the company when not in front of sponsors ears. Hes one class act.Secondly, I stayed very close to Billy McCaghren. Mr. McCaghren is one of the most genuine, generous, most down to earth and flat out nicest pros I met. He and other Basscat owners talked about their old Pantera II boats and reminisced about their ride and also that of the new boats. Billy also was a tireless advocate for the product while being out of the cameras eye. I hope more of the general public gets a chance to meet these two special guys and spend some time with them. They are obviously elite anglers and are very special and sincere people. Basscat should be proud to know the pros using their products are a special bunch, setting themselves apart on and off the water.Ben.
