I recently sold my Eyra to a young man named Mathieu. Id like to congradulate him on his new purchase, I know he worked hard to get it. The only unfortunate thing is Im boat less for the time being. I find myself in a difficult spot. What do I buy, Puma, Cougar or another Eyra. I so confused! Never mind colors that alone might take me a couple sleepless nights to figure out.

Going thru the same thing except that I have no prior Cat experince. Whats your take on the Eyra?

The Eyra is an incredible boat. As far as Im concerned its the best performance bass boat around. It may not be faster than a stroker or bullet but with a tournament load and under tournament conditions it cant be beat. I simply loved mine. A dream machine. I will probably purchase a Cougar FTD next only because ive never owned one and I hear great things about it. I can guaranty one thing for sure, I will own one again.

Thought with all the reading I had done I hadnt missed anything about the Eyra. But the recessed top cap in the back and the “fish” I had totally missed. Very cool. Nice write up.

I can tell u that them really great numbers those go fast boats are running is totally empty or pretty damn close to it. They carry 4 foot levels and ballast weights, not to mention Titus lowers and hydro tech. Ive seen many a go fast boat that would only run high 70s just like every one else because they were actually loaded to fish. And no Im not knockin them I would love to b able to have one and a cat

However, I like the layout of the Eyra I had. Good luck!

You have such BIG problems.Im just an older Puma owner up in Ottawa.All I can say is I like my Puma when the CHOP is rough.For an Old dude, this gives me the top ride in Rough water.I think youve pretty well tried them all, but try them all in a 3 ft. chop, and cross wakes in a busy waterway.
