I have a Hummingbird 788 with a through hull transducer. Lately it seems that when I get on plane my depth only shows 2 ft. When I back ff throttle it goes back to reading correct depth. When I first purchased boat in October there was just a lot of noise between the surface and bottom. Any ideas.Thanks

I would almost bet that the transducer is going bad. The only other thing that it could be is if there was an air pocket below the transducer. Take to local dealer and have them figure problem. Good luck!

My transducer was bad from the get go in my 2012 Margay. First year I tried everything from settings to software updates. 2nd year I brought it to the dealership and they replaced the transducer and problem solved. Dont waste time as its covered under the warranty.
