Next time you can go to the waypoints, routes, and trails page, highlight trails, select a trail, and then you can select whether to record and whether to display that trail. It is an awkward menu selection process on the hds-7 but with patience you can manage your trails, so you do not have to restore the default settings to get it to show up. You can have I think 10 trails saved.
