Retrofit Velcro Rod Straps

Hello,My P2 has a single rod strap (bungee cord style) at the port side on the front deck. I would like to retrofit the velcro style rod straps on both sides. Is there any reason this cant / shouldnt be done? Other than the straps from the store is there anything else I need?Thanks,Jason

Many convert to the Velcro design so shouldnt be an issue. You can get nice ones from Bass Cat Parts in colors to match your boat. Look under Deck supplies under Boat parts.

Shouldnt be an issue at all. Ive replaced mine in the past with no issues. Order them from BCB and ask that they include the mounting hardware. http://www.basscatstore.com/embroideredrodstrap.aspx

I added the Velcro straps to my 12 PII in addition to the bungees that came with the boat. I put mine on the rod locker lids so I could keep rods on the deck strapped but still open the lockers.

I did the same as TAKFishing, mounted mine on the lids of my PII and it works out great. I also kept my bungee ones for quick runs and when water is not rough.

I put one on the far back of the lid towards the back of the boat in the center of the lid. Im bad to turn them around from with the reel toward the back on long run.
