BCB Need electrical help quick…………….

I have an issue with my A-10……. I may have posted on this topic last year….. I loose power to the touch pad but it is odd….. All of the words on the pad light up but the only button that works is the bilage pump button…. The other indicator red lights or the item does not come on. So i have no livewell fuctions, cant switch between fuel tanks L and R or anything else….I used to be able to move the wires in the harness behind the pad and i could get it working again. I actually did this during a tx a couple weeks ago and got it to work….. Today, no luck at all……Can someone teel me why bilage function is completely fine, and the words light while everything else there is nothing….?Do you have the wiring layout so i can track down what wire maybe the issue?I need to get this resolved ASAP because I have a tx on Sunday and they need to know if i am in or not..Thanks

xm sean,Where are you located at, and if we had known this about three hours earlier we would have rushed into action. The buttons are probably faulty on the A-Ten dash assembly. This is what it sounds like. If you have power coming in on the 12 gauge lines and none going out, then there is probably nothing you can do short of hot shotting it. BCBPS: Got location off one of the other posts you made. We assume Eastern Coast and Maryland area.

Sean, Run a hot (+) wire from the terminal block to a switch, any switch and just lay it on the deck. Put both recirculator and aerator pumps on the switch by Y connecting them to the switch and put a small receptacle bullet on the ends of the cables for connecting. Turn the switch on after you catch one, and let it run for a few minutes. Then every 30 minutes or so just bump it on. Or hit it when you make a run. The oxygen in the water should sustain them for a while at the temps you have now. It should not be a major issue as the Delaware water temps should only be in the 50 degree mark. You have a bilge, and can use the switch to run a bilge in an emergency situation. Then the front navigation light switch will get you on the water in the morning. The pumps are both green wires, and you can see where they are plugged into the harness. BCB

Thank you BCB…. Got it all wired to a switch and I am ready to go until the new A10 gets here….. Now to fill the livewells..
