I have a 2008 Sabre FTD with a 175 pro xs and 23 pitch Tempest prop. I can run 63 to 64 but Im turning almost 6100 rpm. Im pretty happy with my holeshot and performance but would a 24 or 25 pitch tempest or fury get me same or better performance with a full load?

Mine comes out of the hole about as fast as a direct drive ski boat with 350hp.

Best was a 70.96 light load 5850-5900. Loaded up for tourney 67 ish The 6″ slide master is set at 3 3/8″ below pad (25 fury)

Maybe get your prop checked too. A little off can make a BIG difference in RPMs.

I have a 2008 ftd with a 175 and run a 25p Fury. The hole shot is great but need to feather just slightly. My fishing is limited to weekends and smaller lakes so I am unable to run WOT for long. I have reached 64-65 before it starts to walk to the point I do not feel safe. Note: I am not trying to reach 70 and I am aware that I carry way too much stuff up front. Front lockers are full while the back is light and sometimes empty.
