I have a 92 Sabre that I bought in 97. I live and fish on Toledo Bend Lake and have never had the first bit of hesitation about running my Sabre on the lake whether the wind was blowing or not. I wont lie and say that I havent gotten wet from spray but I have not had any problems running the waves. Even being nearly 20 years old and running a 150 Evinrude Intruder with a pretty heavy load of tackle, I can still get 63 mph, on gps, out of her. This has been a really great running boat. I can get into the tight stuff especially in the spring but I can also fish the open water if I have too. My storage compartments are different than the newer models but I have a full tackle store in them and have not had any problems getting any of my rods in the rod locker. You will love the ride.
