Livewell Screen

I am wanting to install a screen over my livewell drain, what is the best adhesive to use? Marine grade silicone? I have had shad get stuck in the line and have to blow out with garden hose. There are insert screen and fitting over cap style. We are not sure how or which screen you have or where you intend to use it, or year model of your rig.

08 Sabre. I plan to put it inside the livewell. Thinking about the same one that is on the outside drain. Last summer during a tournament I had fish spit up shad while in the livewell, so when I released the water from the well some of the shad got stuck in the line thus not allowing the control valve to close completely. Would like to prevent this in the future. What is the best adhesive to use inside the livewell?
