Wiring Issue? Where to start-troubleshooting

Hello-I am calling on the years of wisdom contained within this forum to point me in a direction. here is what is happening: I turn on the master power in the back by the batteries -compartment lights come on- I turn on the master power switch at the console all good until I push a button on the A10 and all goes black except a barely noticeable light in the A10. Once this happens , I have nothing . It doesnt turn back on even when resetting the master switches. The batteries are good, the motor will crank.It is 2016 Puma Ftd 250 SHO, Trojan 31 batteries. thanks for any direction Joe

My first look would be the connections at the terminal block in thr back of the boat. Grounds and hots. These are known for troubles

Checked terminal block-all wires tight and good.I also disconnected the A10 (wiring harness at the A10) and no change. Graphs all work- trim turn signals, jackplate all work. No gauges, no pumps (bilge and live well) no lights, no A10

Try a re-boot of the A 10. Unplug it at the back for a minute, and then plug it back in.

Mine done this a couple yrs back and was convinced the a10 panel was faulty. But luckly i happen to be fiddling with the wire at the block. Mine wasnt actually where the ring terminal fastened but a bad connection where the wire was crimped. Wiring issues are tuff and sometimes pill to find. I generally just start at the back a trace to front. Checking all connections along the way.

I had the same problem. I finally pulled every wire off the terminal block and finally found a bad crimp on a ground. I put new crimps on several wires while I hard them off and no more problems .

I will pull them off one at a time and see how it goes.thanks

Just take the wires off one terminal at a time and give those connectors a push/pull while holding the wire. If it moves a millimeter, replace it. I’ve found several over the years with bad crimps. Trailer too.

Corrosion is a bear and its in the ground usually.
