This is a discussion we get in every couple of months, was the same way on the ATV forum I built. Some argue one way, others argue the opposite. Some swear by premium (which is near impossible to get eth. Free) some say 87 is fine and its a waste of money to buy premium. Ive heard mechanics say only buy name brand (Exxon, chevron, etc) gas for you boat motor b/c the detergents in it help keep your motor clean. They have said running cheap gas can cause power heads to blow. Still others will tell you gas is gas its all the same Exxon or mom and pop down the street.Honestly when it comes down to it. The answer is always the same. Run what you want. Its yours. If your motor likes it, And you dont mind paying for premium, use it. If your motor runs better on 87, use it. If you dont want to use eth gas go buy eth free. Regardless of what you put in it, additive is a must. Unfortunately there are way too many varying opinions on this subject. The very best advice I can give, is to look in your owners manual, and run what it says to run for your motor.
