And please DO NOT rev your engine up while its in idle (At least i assume thats what you meant by getting it up to 3K rpms), this DOES capture a neutral fault over-speed on your engines guardian diagnostic system and can lead to warranty claim denials in the future. If something it beeping its being recorded, maybe not on the display but the engines computer tells all. I would start with the simple things, check battery voltage or replace battery if sat through a long winter with minimal charging, check oil reservoir, check with engine running the engine oil reservoir that is mounted to the engine is full, this is done with engine running and simply unscrewing the little black cap just enough to get oil to seep out once its seeps out, tighten back down, again this is with engine running in neutral. Ensure throttle is coming to full close after letting off the hot foot if installed. Drain water from the VST canister, just slide down the black hose, use an allen key to loosen the the valve, drain both the fwd and the back of the vst where the ends of the hose connect to. Now if you dont have the time and or experience or are just of the type who always says thats what warrantys are for then yes just bring it in to your dealer. If you do bring it in to the dealer make sure they run a diagnostic freeze frame history report.
