Cougar FTD dash electronics?

Apparently a Helix 12 mega chirp does not fit in the dash of a Cougar FTD. Is there an alternative to getting a ram mounted unit? I would prefer a unit in dash. Is the only option to drop to a helix 10? Thank you

They have not really came out on a method for large units as the concern is blocking vision over the steering wheel.

I have had both and like the Sherm Mount the best. Just my opinion on my Cougar FTD.
