My wife and I are going to spend a few days in Corpus Christi/Rockport/Port Aransas area in May and first thing Id like help with is what areas to stay or to avoid. First trip there and probably doing the motel thing.Second thing is we are looking to do a little fishing, probably in shore, and am looking for recommendation of a charter/guide. Weve never done any salt water fishing.third would be what are the must see/must do things in the area?Thanks a lot!!

You can try Keith Phillips. Keith is a friend of mine and is a former Bass Cat guy. He now guides full time and supposedly can catchem. His website is http://www.redfishmatagorda.com

Hey, I dont know what Keith runs but going out with an air boat guide is a blast. If that sounds like fun e-mail me and Ill dig-up the guy Ive gone out with. Ive done it twice and have limited-out on reds and black drum both times. Those airboats can get to fish wherever they are. Also in Rockport the Lighthouse is a really nice place to stay.
