2006 puma i removed my maxum and placed a fortrex i left the 6 grommets but the alum bracket is hitting the panel for the lights and acc switches, considering removing the grommets placing a rubber mat 1/8 thick ( like you would place on a garage floor) directly on the boat then making a 1/4 alum shim same size as the bottom of the fortrex then placing the fortrex ( 1mat 2 alum plate 3 fortrex) so the alum bracket on the fortrex wont hit the boat and leave some room for rough water any comment or suggestions ?
