Topic: 10″ plate for 94 PII

I have a 10″ rite hite plate on a new to me PII 94 model Im considering going back to a 6″ rapid jack plate. Hole shot sucks right now adn I ahve been told that the plate may have to much set back. Is it worth the money to replace the plate? thanks Matthew

Probably not on a 1994 and we suspect they were trying to resolve some issues in the change. BCB Only suggests a 6″on this year model and the issue we feel is elsewhere. Try a different propeller in a smaller or different style. You did not mention what motor you have?

The motor is a 94 150 mariner magnum with a 23p throphy plus.

Trophy plus is 4 blade. Also, What kind of engine height are you dealing with, how far below pad is the propshaft? The 150 is older and the boat is probably added a few pounds too, like a lot of us, lol.96 Eyra/12 Mercury 175 Pro XS with 2015 single axle trailer2017 Victory Gunner

engine height is 3″ below pad I going to replace the plate just dont know how much of a set back yet.

There is something a miss other than the jackplate. We would not expend any money until we knew what we had in an issue. BCB
