Will a HDS8 fitt in the console of a 2008 Pantera IV? Also interested in any other mounting ideas. If you have pictures or just a discription that would be helpful, too many Holes in a boat is never a good idea,.

I used Sherms mount on my PIV with an HDS10 and it works well.http://www.shermsmarine.com/

Mike,Do you have any pictures of your HDS 10 mounted on the console? What size sonar unit do you have on the bow? Looking to upgrade the units on my PIV in the future. Thanks.William

I have a HDS10 on a Sherms mount on my PIV. I will get out to the shop at some point today and take a pic for you and get it posted. These mounts are the only way to go on the 8″ and 10″ graphs. Sherm does a great job !

I used the Sherms hds8 mount for my hds10, so it looks just like the picture above, just a little taller and wider.

Looking at the HDS 8 it looks like a 10 would hit the right side of the windshield. There must be some room to play with on his bracket.

This isnt specific to any model of BCB, but has anyone considered, or completed, mounting an HDS8 or 10 on the left side of the console using a vertical swing arm Ram mount (109 V)? Im thinking it would make it useable/raedable from the drivers seat or the front deck. Just another option for those of us who are on a limited budget. Any thought on whether that would be a viable option?
