A10 will it fit in a older Cougar?

I have a 2000 Cougar, the BP2000 is intermittent, was wondering if I can use an A10? Will it fit in the same hole, does it come with a mating connect? Has anyone done this?

It requires a revision to the harness. You will loose a few functions like security system.
