Most people have seen or heard of the devastating fires in Ca. Butte County was hardest hit. Most of Paradise Ca is gone. But my boat survived. It was stored at my sis n laws house on her covered RV parking pad. I didnt put the cover on it because raccoons love covered boats to nest in.

Wow! That rig saw some serious heat!

Sorry to see that your families home was impacted though man what an unusual miss. The Camp Fire is supposedly the largest in California history.

It is the largest in Ca history. Its still burning. My sis in laws house Survived also. We cant figure out why. There is 25 gallons of fuel in my boat.

Wow, glad your boat made it through. Must have been the tin roof helped keep the embers away. I heard that 1100 homes were destroyed. I can’t even imagine what that must be like. Sorry to see it.

Wow! That’s a miracle and blessing for you. Hate to see all the devestation and destruction for all those out there. Prayers for all those affected.

The Camp fire is not the largest in California history (by size). It is the most destructive and the most fatal. It is currently 153,000+ acres – just inside the top 20.
The largest by size was the “Mendicino Complex”, near Clearlake that started in july (2018) and finally was contained on Sept 25.
I know this because I was evacuated then. It is also the reason I am now residing in Alabama (again).

Its amazing the boat survived with such intense heat surrounding it.
Its also odd how the homes burn, but much of the trees and grass are not scorched. I have seen many pics where I tried to grasp how the fire spread in some areas. Must have some serious winds behind some of those flames.
