My 01 Pantera III has fairly deep recessed well with the trolling motor pedal in it. Trying to figure out what mount would be best, alongside the trolling motor pedal, to use for the new Lowrance HOOK2 – 9″ I just received? This unit is not heavy but want to make sure its adequate as the Calif. Delta tidal waters can get pretty rough with the winds at times. I’m sure some of you guys do this stuff all the time but I don’t so trying to get it right.
Bass Boat Technologies is what i use on my Cougar. Really happy with it.
Thanks – just checked their site, those are expensive! Don’t see any specific to the HOOK2 – 9″ but sure other Lowrance 9’s would work but I can’t put that much into a mount on nearly 18 yr. old rig. Have to keep looking, thanks for the response though.
Bob, look at this Ram Mount for the Hook 9 https://www.rammount.com/part/RAM-D-115.
That one should work, at least half price than the Bass Boat Tech mentioned although wouldn’t mind going less but that heavy duty one is hard to find much lower? Also refers to the HOOK2-9″ specifically. Thanks
I have a hook2 7 mounted in the bracket it comes with on my sabre. Zero probs and a lot of time on Toledo bend and Rayburn. I bet the 9 would fit in there too. I have that on ram at dash
Thanks John – that’s the one I have been leaning toward as think that one has the 3.6″ diameter round deck mount plate and was needing in the 7+” range between deck and underside of the 11″ unit mounting plate. The HOOK2 – 9″ is not heavy but when I’m able to fish, the Calif. Delta tidal waters can get pretty rough at times, with the winds and prevent the Lowrance is rock solid in those instances. Can’t even find in stock locally to look at plus any local’s including BPS are priced higher than most. Looks like will have to bite the bullet and put out a little more than I expected to as that mount at least twice as much as the 1.5″ ball ones. THANKS!
Bob, I use the Ram 2.25″ ball, 6″ arm, 11″ plate mount (D111) mount for anything 9 or above on Lowrance.

Yes, it’s one of the more expensive Rams. I’m using the Swing arm Ram (Ram 109H) on the front of my Puma for a Gen2 8. I just like the ability to be able to swing the DF out of the way while boarding. Only thing, it needs to but put on a 3.5″ high base for the bottom adjustment knob to clear the deck. I would quote you a price, however California changed some laws about items being shipped into the State making it harder to jump through the shipping hoops.
Yeah, Calif. seems to be trying to stop people from buying out of state? Everything here is expensive. I found a site with the heavy 2.25 RAM at less than half the price I’ve seen anywhere else. They are the 11″ top mounting plate, 3.68″ round deck mounting plate but the arm is the 8.3″ approx. (overall height of 11″ +) which is fine as I need some height to get well clear of recessed area and want my 7 1/2 ft. rod butts to be able to slide under the units gimbal bracket – the long arm will allow that. I’ve seen the swing arm’s but the trolling motor recessed area on my older Pantera III is pretty deep, not sure one of those would work? Thanks
